Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Stillroom ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
Stillroom is a minimalist journaling application for iPhone and iPad that allows users to create journal entries with text, images, and voice notes. The App is designed with privacy as a core principle, storing all data locally on your device with optional iCloud sync.
License to Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use Stillroom on your personal Apple devices for your personal, non-commercial use.
You agree NOT to:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the App
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the App in any way that could damage or impair our services
Your Content and Data
Ownership: You retain all rights to the content you create in Stillroom, including journal entries, photos, and voice notes. We do not claim any ownership over your content.
Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your content and the consequences of creating, storing, or sharing it. You must ensure you have the necessary rights to any content you add to the App.
Backup: While we strive to provide a reliable service, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your important data. We recommend using the PDF export feature (available with Stillroom Premium) or enabling iCloud sync to protect your journal entries.
Stillroom Premium
Stillroom offers optional premium features through in-app purchases, including:
- App lock with Face ID or passcode
- Optional iCloud sync across devices
- Unlimited photo and voice note attachments
- Export your journal as PDF
Payment: All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service. Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly.
Changes to Premium Features: We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove premium features at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified of significant changes.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your journal data will be stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across your Apple devices. This feature is optional and can be disabled at any time. iCloud sync is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The App is free of viruses or other harmful components
- Results from using the App will meet your expectations
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Byte n Pixels and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or any other damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Byte n Pixels, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease. You may also terminate this agreement by deleting the App from all your devices.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and Byte n Pixels only, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
