Mastering Manual Camera Controls on iPhone
Manual photography is about intent. Instead of letting the phone guess what you want, you take control of the three pillars: ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture (though on iPhone, aperture is fixed).
ISO: Controlling Light Sensitivity
On the iPhone sensor, keep ISO as low as possible (usually ISO 25 or 50) to minimize digital noise. In low light, Iris Pro's manual scale lets you find the perfect balance between grain and exposure.
Shutter Speed: Capturing Motion
Want to freeze a bird in flight? Use 1/2000s. Want to blur a waterfall? Use 1/2s. Iris Pro allows for precise shutter control that goes beyond the standard Camera app limits.
Focus Peaking
Iris Pro includes professional Focus Peaking, a visual overlay that highlights exactly what is in focus in red or green. This is essential for macro photography or cinematic shallow-depth shots.
